Mixed-Use/ Commercial

Transit-Oriented Development

157 Green Street
Boston, MA

Construction of this 12,000sf mixed-use building in 2003 required a technically complex foundation due to soils conditions adjacent to the Stony Brook aqueduct in Jamaica Plain, MA.

The project is designed to quietly integrate with surrounding historic light manufacturing commercial architecture, and its massing, materials and design characteristics are intended to help re-establish a pre-existing urban fabric.

A transit-oriented development, approximately 70% of building occupants either walk or utilize public transportation.  Among other ‘green’ features, users enjoy daylighting and views from more than 90% of all occupied spaces.

Year Completed:  2003
